Obamacare - a Bad Law

When I ran for Congress, I pledged to work tirelessly to repeal Obamacare.  That is exactly what I have done.

Voted YES on H.R. 2 Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law (Co-sponsored legislation to repeal)
Voted YES on H.R. 436 The Health Care Cost Reduction Act of 2012 (repeals the Medical Device Tax)
Voted YES on H.R. 3 No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (Co-sponsored legislation)
Voted YES on H.R. 4 Comprehensive 1099 Taxpayer Protection and Repayment of Exchange Subsidy Overpayments Act of 2011 (Repeal 1099 provision of Obamacare) (Co-sponsored legislation)

The American people have made it clear that they do not want Obamacare.  In fact, the latest polls all indicate that a majority of people want the law repealed and believe it to be unconstitutional. (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/health_care_law)  I can't help but think if politicians in Washington had listened to the people before passing this law, we might not be in the mess we are in with Obamacare.

Obamacare is not good for our country.  It truly is a bad law.  But aside from the unconstitutionality of the act, there are other reasons why it isn't good for America.  It will cost more than we can afford.  Thousands of Americans will lose their employer-based health insurance.  Individual premiums will be increased and massive cuts will be made to Medicare.  Money that we could spend improving our healthcare system has instead funded new federal government programs to operate it.
