In his short time in office Senator Corker has already risen to be a leader and spokesman for Conservative values, and has done so once again today with his leadership by example when it comes to ending wasteful spending. This comes a few days after the head of the Congressional Budget Office said, "U.S. fiscal policy is unsustainable, and unsustainable to an extent that it can't be solved through minor changes." Senator Corker is leading the way in putting a major dent into the wasteful spending by our federal government.

When I go to Washington I will stand with the House Republican Caucus as they work to reform the earmark process and put an end to reckless spending. For the sake of our children and grandchildren we cannot continue to leverage away our economy to China. I have raised a family and run a small business for over 20 years, and I know what it is like to have to balance budgets each year. It is time we restore common sense business and family values.
