As your representative in Congress I am committed to doing everything I can to help businesses create jobs. As a small business owner in the Tennessee Valley for over 25 years, I understand the driving factors of growing your business and the challenges that come along with that.
That's why in 2011 I announced my jobs plan for America "Less Government, More Jobs." My plan lays out seven ideas that are vital to getting Tennessee and our country back to work.
I believe that the free-market based solutions in my jobs plan are what we need to get people back to work now. The tax, borrow and spend policies of the Obama Administration are not the solutions and, in fact, are making the problem worse. My jobs plan is centered on less government and more freedom for private enterprises.
It’s simple and clear. 7 steps we can take now to help get Tennesseans back to work:
1. Temporary reduction of the capital gains tax to 0%
2. Rein in regulatory agencies
3. Stability in the marketplace
a. Repeal ObamaCare
b. Repeal the Dodd-Frank Act
4. An energy policy based on domestic exploration
5. Tort reform
6. Tax reform
