The Obama Administration today has rejected the Keystone XL Pipeline Project, a project that would create tens of thousands of jobs in the United States at a time when so many Americans desperately need them.
President Obama is clearly pandering to the environmentalists whose support he desperately needs to win re-election. There’s no other logical answer when you look at the facts: The President's own jobs council, suggested that it agrees with the pipeline concept. The project has strong support from labor unions and bipartisan support from Congress and most importantly has the support of the American people. It is clear that the President, once again, refuses to show leadership, instead choosing partisan politics over the welfare of the American people.
Canada has already warned if the U.S. can't get on board, the North American nation will look to team with China. The President's decision to put off the Keystone pipeline until it is politically convenient is not the kind of leadership the American people demand. We can't afford to lose thousands of jobs that will be created almost immediately.
